-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Discarded tires can be turned into productive gardens. First, a piece of cardboard with holes poked in it is laid on the ground. This kills all the vegetation underneath. Then place the tire over, fill with dirt and cover with a mulch, and plant a tomato or pepper plant in the middle. The mulch keeps moisture in the dirt and saves alot of water.
